taking the bed off

i got a 84 f-250 im trying to take the bed off and i had hell braking the bolts loose it bent my cheader pipe but now that i broke them off they just spin and do not come off? is their a bolt on top or what

they should be carriage bolts you probably didn't brake them they most likely rounded the hole

If you rounded the holes out, you could try a little trick I've used. I took some cheap sockets from a parts store, yard sale, etc. I welded them to the tops of the carriage bolts and that allowed me to use a 3/8 ratchet on top to either hold or turn the bolt while a friend loosened the nuts underneath.

where r the carriage bolts r the in the bed?

Yup. there are 6 or 8 of them and they have a rounded head.

If the bolts are removed.. could the bed be moved back about four inches?
Just need enough room to beat back the deformation near the cab then slide it back into place.

Are there wires or brackets need to be removed first?
Maybe gas line?

You will have to disconnect the tailight wiring and the fuel filler necks. You can move the bed back as for as you want, but you will have to disconnect those things first because if you don't, it will hang up the whole project.
