goofed the distributor
k guys little help here if possible. been plugging away getting a truck i just acquired runnin and up to snuff. well anyways after alot of work we finally got her runnin but she was runnin rough and backfiring and blah blah, so i knew i had to check the timing so today i went to do it and id get intermittent or sometimes no light. tryed it on two other vehicles and it worked fine lots of light so i swapped plug wires and tryed again and still same thing. so know i believe the problem is somewhere in the distributor . so me and buddy decided to pull distributor. took apart and cleaned it all up looks like the stator assembly is a little worn but i cleaned it all up and put it back together. then we put to tdc and lined up the distributor shaft to number 1 and put together. now i turn it over and shes turning over alot faster but she wont start. thinking of just replacing distributor inards and start over. remember she was runnin rough but was runnin so hmmmnnnn suggestions would be much appreciated. i already replaced cap rotor coil wires and shes a 83 f-250 4.9ltr
