Will the 2.9 liter Merkur bolt in?
I need to replaced my 2.9 liter V-6 in my 88 bronco. There is a used 2.9 liter engine from a 93 Merkur Scorpio for sale around here. I am told that it is the same black and heads as my own Bronco's 2.9 liter engine. Does anyone know this for sure? Will the Merkur 2.9 (a canceled devision of Ford) work in my Bronco?
Thnx

Sorry I can't answer your question. I was hoping you could answer a few of mine. First I'm from Akron Ohio, I've had a Merkur Scorpio for alot of years, I've heard of 93 Scorpio's but never had a chance to see one. I was wondering if you could tell me where the 93 is that you were talking about that was 4-sale. Or if you know of any other ones around. Or if you could put me in contact with someone who would know. PLEASE. If you can't can you send me a picture of one. I'd love to see it.
I've got a 5.0 h.o turbo charged in my scorpio, and a 350 chevy in my toyota landcruiser, so I pretty much know you can make any thing work, if you put some thought into it. My scorpio has all home made parts ( motor mounts, tranny mounts, shifter linkage, drive shafts, steering rack made with an extention to a ratchet.) It even has its own jack to jack the motor in the car if we have to take it back out.
Heres my E-Mail address shawnah123(No Email Addresses In Posts!).
THANKS
