3/4 Ton Springs on a 1/2 ton

I have a 2 inch Sus. lift on my truck with 33x12.5 wild country mudders, the tires rub horribly at full crank, i was told that i could fix this by putting 3/4 ton spring on the front...... will htis hurt anything if i do so?

Rub on the bumper or the frame? If its the bumper, shim it forward. If its the frame, get a set of rims with a better offset.

by putting on 3/4 ton springs do you mean stock ones? if so you will be losing your lift. if it is the bumper, i wouldn't bother shimming it, i would trim the very small, like 1" long/ 1/2" wide, lip on the inside. it works wonders!

sounds like you need a different off set though.....they are prolly rubbing on the springs!

What kind of radius arm bushings do you have? if they are the old rubber one try going with poly it might push it forward just enough. They are only about $10 a peice.
