On my dad's 87 F250 it is located on the driver's side near the firewall. It is about 1" square and about 2 inches tall. I has 4 wires (?) coming out of it. It might be inside a black plastic THING and you will have to take it out. The top of it is brown. At least on the 87 trucks it is. Good luck!

P.S. The fuel pump relay top is green.

Sorry, it is under the hood. Near the master cylinder.

No problem. Why do you want to know where it is?

-Matt

P.S. That's where it is on a 87. On my 85 5.0L EFI I don't know where it is. It is not in the same spot as the 87. So, yours might be somewhere else. But at least it gives you a starting point.

I have the Ford emissions diagnosis manual (ebay) and just got a Ford, Rotounda Breakout Box for EEC-IV testing, (also on Ebay).

In doing the basic Battery voltage tests spelled out when checking grounds, and faults, ect, one of the test is to test the voltage from the neg batt post to one of the wires on the EEC power relay. Just didn't know where it was.
Also, If you look up the thread "intermittent hesitation" (a few under this one) diagnosing trouble code 31, The breakout box has pointed to a bad EEC IV module. Is one of other tests I've been messing with cause the new engine is still stumbling.
Having the Breakout box is really great!

reamer the EEC power relay is located inside the truck on the driver side under the dash locate the EEC microprocessor under the dash about infront of the accelerator pedal but under the dash right beside the computer there is a relay the should be black with a brown bottom where the harness plugs into the relay; the one under the hood is the fuel pump relay located on the driverside in the corner of the fender and the firewall on the driver side its the only relay that is black and green . hope this helps , i had problems with them on my 86 302 efi bronco
