The prices here in western CO have went down 3-5 cents to $2.19. It may be that they are tryng to compete with the supermarkets though. One of the supermarket chains offers 15 cent per gallon discount if you shop with them a certain amount.
It sure would be nice to see under 2 bucks again.
We're still in the $2.40 range out here. My last tank was at $2.559. I was running errands with the wife and kids and couldn't make it accross town where the price was only $2.399. It was worth the extra $4.80 to go ahead and top off at the time.
Hopefully in the next two weeks after I burn through this tank the price will drop to something more reasonable out here.
We got a bit of relief here in West Michigan too. $2.09 in some places and others are still at $2.24. Unfortuately I only had 100 miles on my tank and it wasn't worth staopping to top off.
Figures, by the time I need fuel it will probably be at $2.50
2004 F-350, Crew, 4WD, DRW 6oh PSD// Filled up at $2.49 on 11/4/2004 in California the home of CARB (California Air Resources Board) diesel fuel (the market of one state with lower sulfur content) WTI just went below $50.00/ BBL a few days before. No additional refining capicity has been added in recent years and fuel from other states not saleable in CA. For about a year Shell Oil has held off closing their Bakersfield Refinery (less supply of CARB diesel) and is talking to a potential buyer. This refinery represents about 6% of the CA fixed supply of State CARB diesel to farms and trucks. It is distributed in the southern part of the state. Go... speculators in the fuel markets for CARB. Guess why the prices have been high. With a little more refining and addition of some Hydrogen and some reformate you get more BBLs of all gasoline grades than #2 another reason for price increase. Drove to Portland and purchased OR #2 and got better mileage. Sold to you by Ben Dover and C. Howett Fields Oil Company in California. Getting about 11.4 MPG arround town in CA and in OR about 15.0 on the Hwy.

Reason: 6% of State supply not southern part of state supply
Bossier City, La. was 209.9 today, but I'm pretty sure Love's truck stop will be a little bit lower, but it's out of the way,not worth the trip unless already going that way. This station was at 215.9 a few days ago...Hmmmm.....sounds like a trend I hope.
Sunday 1.899 @ BP in Boiling Springs S.C. Why? This is a small station and all the big truck stops are .11 cents higher. That's two busy diesel pumps. Most of the time they're a nickel higher. I put 27 gal. in a 29 gal tank.
I saw a sign in a small town last week on the way to my deer camp in north La., it was one of those old metal ones that sit on the ground, it said 201.9, gonna check it out for sure when I go through there next week.
