make sure you check for pinging during WOT and low rpms you Live in Cali? right you might have to retarde your timeing 10% in both 2k to 4k 4k to 7k our what ever you have your redline set

I purchase the predator from Motorhaven (peggy to be exact) and no instruction in the pack, and it looked used, No problem. Then I Hooked it up and the Engine Safe mode comes up, So I call Motorhaven, To see if their a problem with the way I'm hooking it up, remember no instructions, well all tech are busy, so I call Diablo, and they say their working on the problem should have it fix by Tueday to just download from the internet, So now I have to buy a 9 pin connection and power pack inorder to download. That's my first and last purchase from Motorhaven all I ask for is a working Predator and I was told their not going to jump though hoops, I never even raise my voice or said a bad word, but I believe what comes around goes around Mrs Peggy.
Next Time You send a used system out please check them and make sure they have all the instructions and stickers in them. And the problem with the Diablo is on the 5.4 motor.

 

WASH: Check out diablosport.com. They have a FAQ. It will let you know items you need for the Predator. I checked both websites Supertuner and Predator. Research is the key prior to buying, that is my experience.

The Predator can be connected to PC using a standard (straight-through) serial cable, also called DB9 Male-Female cable or DB9 9-wire Serial Cable Extension. (Radio Shack part no: 26.117B)

Revisions are available to download from the Download page.


If your PC has only USB connector (doesn't have a DB9 serial connector), you will have to purchase a commonly available Serial-to-USB adapter.

If you want to power the Predator up at your desk, you will also need a 12 Volt (1 Amp minimum) power supply. The plug tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female, and center is positive. (Radio Shack part no: 273-1776)

 

I Did all that USB to 9 pin tried down load and now i get this message The application is missing or corrupt i get the same thing when i plug it into my truck HELP 2004 screw

I Have been very happy with service from motorhaven and i loved my diablo until tonight i am know get a message CANNOT LOAD F SERIES APPLICATION INTO F150 TOOL Please help if i have to send it back i will pay the diff to have sent over night wuold like to fix on the net

I Guess all the new 5.4 have the same calibration problem, I don't think so, sound like and software problem.

 

2004 Screw, I'll be happy to assist you. When you got this message, what were you doing with the tool? Updating it? If so, we can actually help you with that over the Internet. Let me know and I'll provide a solution. No need to send it back, that is very rarely required of a Predator because they can be updated, reset and forced by the end user with codes supplied by Diablo.

 

Nice very happy to hear that Read that O.K. so I was trying down load updates and no luck so unpluged it and thought i would run the 91 without updateing pluged it into the Truck and got this message The Application is missing or corrupt

Also When i try to load file or open file with PC interface just before i get this massage wrong signature fseries

 

And it only loaded 2 packets of something like 167000

 

That's because your loading for the wrong year truck, the one we need is not on-line yet hope this helps
