Where are you? Many people are always looking for another truck. If you price it fairly and get the word out, it will sell. I buy and sell lots of stuff on Ebay, but that is not always the best resource to use. I recently had a couple of old vehicles to sell and advertised them for free on a local Radio Station's "Swap Shop" program. They read the ads on the air and post them on their website. I sold them in two days and am still getting calls about them 2 weeks later. Dang, I should have priced them higher....

I am located in Fredericksburg, VA. The truck has $7500 invested and I would like to get around $4000 for it; however, I would settle for $3000. It is a long bed, step side, with a brand new bed. A man in NC manufactured the bed. I have done a lot of restoration on it; however, now that I am in college I dont have any more time to dedicate to it and I just bought a new truck (2004 F350 6.0 Diesel). Therefore I would like to try and get it out of my garage. So far I have tried my local paper but no one wants to give me any money. One guy basically told me he was looking for something for $500 that he could drive away.
I have a 63 F-100 4x4 and I was kicking around the idea of selling it also but I don't have that much money invested like you have !! I use it to haul stuff to the dump and haul fire wood when needed !!
I just don't know how much to ask for my truck so I haven't bothered putting it in my local paper or on ebay !! If anyone can check out my pics and give me an idea (don't worry my feelings won't get hurt) I have cleaned it up some but still have a ways to go !!

Well lets just say that when I purchased my truck I payed $1000 and it was in worst shape than yours. However I do feel I payed more than the truck was worth but then again the guy that I bought it from helped me for over a 1000 hours of work on the truck. I would think it being a 4x4 (assuming it works) you should able to get between $1000 and $1500. I guess it really also depends on your location and how bad you want to sell it. I would recommend advertising it for a few hundred more than you would like to get. After all your truck is in driving condition and my is not and was not when i pruchase it. It is often hard to decide on prices; however, take your time and dont be in a rush to sell it or you will regret it later. Hope this helps somewhat.
