i went to do a little 4xing and when i went to shift out of 4 low, it was stuck. the only 4xing i really ever did was in military humvees. is there a trick to get it out of low range? its a 84 auto with manual transfer. thanx

 

Try driving in the opposite direction a few feet. Maybe it is just "bound up"

roll slowly forward or backward (in neutral) while shifting it out of 4L. works for me when my EB is being a PIA.

 

thanx for the info. i looked under it and there was a stick in the way of the linkage, should have done that in the first place
