Propane Kits

I'm looking to juice the 6.0 a bit using LP gas. I have found several companies that offer kits.
I would like to read the real world testimony of propane/LP gas users and the particular kit they installed.

Easy install, overall cost, estimated/actual HP & TQ #'s, advantages or disadvantages and reliability of the system.

If you are using a chip/programmer combined with the LP gas, please post manfacturer of the chip/ programmer.

I'm a little partial to the Powershot 2000 Very easy to install, and very drive able power.

See the dyno sheets in my gallery, but propane only was about 350hp/600 ft lbs torque, Predator in 65hp mode and Powershot (which is my daily driving combination) was 450hp /750ftlbs torque, and with the Predator on 100 hp it was around 480 hp/800 ft lbs torque.

Have any of you guy's here on the FTE forums, used nitrous on a 6 litre over the use of propane and was wondering of what kind of results were felt with the use of nitrous! I was told by some guys that race 6.0, that nitrous made alot of power and was easier on the engine, then propane..??

I'm interested in this as well. I'd like to get the propane setup as well. Is it really worth the money ? How much more boost will you get ? I'm running a 135HP chip, and a 5" exhaust, and she's putting out about 30PSI of boost.
I also do a LOT of driving, so how often would I have to refill the tank ?

For nitrous to be effective, you have to be really. basically "overfueled" It can give a nice kick for racing, it's good for short bursts, but it is expensive and is used up quickly and you can't tow with it! For all around power when driving or towing, and a little extra mpg, propane is hard to beat.

With a 135hp box, you may not see 90 or 100 hp, but you will be able to add about 60-80 safely. An eight gallon tank goes between 1000-1200 miles of constant use, meaining its on ALL the time. and for that you have an 80-100 mile further range on the diesel tank, so you really dont fill it up all that ofen.

there is a good article on performance for diesels, This is a quote on Propane on newer engines. To get to the link you may have to cut and past. This was from a 2 part article on diesel engines and is a good read.

http://www.oramagazine.com/archive/2004/july2004/TECH/tech04/JULY04_TECH04_01.asp[/url]

"The most benefit comes from older generation diesels whose injection systems have fuel rate limitations that are not easily remedied. The newer diesels will still gain, but there are easier and cheaper ways to get the equivalent amount of horsepower".

BTW this is a free magazine but the June and July issues deal with diesels.
