1986 BII 2.9 Ao4d trans
Problem: Started dying on me driving down the street (no sputtering like running out of gas)taking off at lights or whenever it feels like it when will just crank and crank trying to start feather the peddle and it might start.
have replaced electronic control module on distributor, and TPS (throttle position sensor).
There is a little black box on your passenger side fender under the hood. There are three (I think) sensors there. Replace them, and always carry spares as they have been known to go bad from time to time.
FWIW: The only sensor you can usually find on the right hand fender under the hood is a MAP/MAF sensor. The other little boxes are relays (fuel pump, eec, etc.)
