Hello:

I have a 1988 Aerostar..

The Starter Solenoid was giving me problems.
So changed it today.

The old one had the two large terminals and one small one on the top.

The new one has two large terminals and two smaller ones.

I followed the directions on the new one, it stated
"If the old one had three terminals, Don't use the '-' so I diid not.

So I installed it,the van started fine, but while i was rolling thru the digital dash I saw the Battery Symbol flashing, there are 5 bars displaying.

Does anyone know why the battery symbol is flashing, It was not with the old solenoid???

Check the alt output should be 14.5 volts running....You could also try disconnect battery for a few mins and reconnect. Make sure all wires are back where they came from..

OkI replaced the Alt.about a month ago,so i don't think that is it... But it might be...

I will disconnect the battery and give that a try first...
