Living a Long Life in the Diesel world

I would like to know how many miles can you get out of a typical pre DMax Diesel in a GM vehical. Im talking about the 6.2 and mainly about the 6.5. but I would also like to know how they stack up aganist a PSD or a Pre PSD diesel engine in a Ford.

Some guys do okay with the turbod 6.5s. I wouldnt touch one personally. The pre powerstrokes could be very reliable. It is not unheard of to go 500k with an IDI international.

I saw a PSD with about 920k on it about a month ago on AutoTrader and I e-mailed the guy just to see if that was a typo and he said he was the original owner and it was the original engine, and it still ran like a champ. Only regular main. was done its entire life

If you're talking about 6.5 vs. PSD and 6.2 vs. 7.3 and 6.9, there is no competition at all. Ford is way better.

International makes a far superior engine. Some guys love their 6.5s. Like I said. I have seen nothing but problems with them.

And not to mention, when you slap a Banks exhaust system onto a 6.0L, you have an unbeatable sound, a sound that Chevy nor Dodge could ever touch.

I thought this was Ford vs. the comp. Chevy/GMC with a 6.5 and 6.2 and Ford with a PSD, 7.3, and 6.9.

(Right from the horses mouth)
I've heared'em both and have a banks turbo back exhaust on the D/A right now and it sounds great. Sounds good on Ford also...
