But what happened to Tom anyways, I haven't seen him around here in a long while, maybe he got that Hemi he had always been dreaming of....because his 4.2 was falling apart piece by piece, part by part..

Hopefully Tom didn't get mowed by that first hurricane a few weeks ago, because he does live on the Gulf coast, i think in Tampa....yikes...
did you guys know there is another supposed to hit Fla. this weekend? Hurricane Ivan...they might as well blow florida up and forget about it..

The audiobahns are an excellent choice. Those things hit pretty hard. I had 2 tens hooked up to a California 300 watt (YES 300 WATT) amp for 4 ohm...they were pretty loud. I don't know how the 300 watt handled it so well. From my experience:
Get the 12's
Get at least a 500 Watt Amp (make sure the ohms match the amp w/speakers)
Get a pretty large gauge wiring kit...I had to get an 8 Gauge wiring kit for the 10's alone....all others burns out.
Rockford makes excellent amps...their prices are down more than they used to be also. Kicker makes great amps, but are a bit pricey...I'd just get an amp from wherever and make sure it's strong enough. I bought a California 300 Watt amp from Circuit City for $180 brand new, and it was plenty strong.

It depends. If you get an aftermarket CD player, make sure it pushes at least 45 x 4...that way, your CD player will make your stock speakers sound much better than they actually are. The amp take care of the woofers, and your done. Kenwood amps are pretty good from what I've heard, but I've never tried them. I've tried the other 3 personally.

I used to, at one time have two AutoTek SS 12's with a eclipse 300 watt amp that where loud. I had it run off the stock cd player. You can by a line out converter at walmart for $14 dollars or so, in reply to Homer's Question. Now all I have is two Poineer 10's, with a Mono 400 watt amp(Orion, it actually nice). I would not recommend a Bazooka tube. Not that they sound bad I have one DVC 8" under the bed in my room, But They utilize air space to carry the sound. Their is no airspace in a single Cab, I fount that out the hard way. If you open up the doors it hit rather hard, but not closed. I guess I could have removed the doors. That would look rather interesting.
Also for Homer: The stock cd player doesn't sound to bad, if you are looking to save money. If you purchase an Aftermarket one, be sure to get a mofset powered(If that is spelled right.) They hold their sound quality alot better as you turn it up louder. Thats from experience.
