Hi

I'm a new member and just wanted to say hi. I'm from Shelton CT

I have a 82 F250. I upgraded the original 351 Windsor to a 460, added a winch, plow & dump. I use it for hauling my 26' race car trailer to the track & varrious house/yard projects. I've had it for about 12 years & it's been a coustant battle in the war on rust. It consumes the fuel at a pretty good rate, but when your pulling a 8,000# trailer up a hill I couldent imagine having anything less.

I seem to be blocked from posting a picture. Perhaps because I'm a new user? I keep getting this error when I try to insert a picture or add a link.

Try posting your question in the user gallery forum. They may be able to help with the problems your having.

Good luck with the rust on that '82. Unless you pull it apart and start with new body parts it is an ongoing battle. I just picked up a '93 F-150 with only 65,000 mi. on it. My first 6 cylinder and 1/2 ton truck. Gonna be interesting seeing what we can do with this truck. If my 15 year old makes Eagle in Boy Scouts it will be his. Won't let him know that though until dad plays for a while.

I grew up in Monroe but now live in Bethel. Still do have some friends in Shelton and Ansonia. What do you race if you don't mind me asking. Always looking for something new to go see with the kids. We do Limerock a couple of times a year. Other than that it's all Monster Truck shows, Mud boggs and that kind of stuff with the kid's. Oh yeah, dirt bike trips are in there somewhere to. Sorry for rambling.

Good luck with your pics.

Forgive me, but it's a Chevy. A 73 Camaro, but it does have a ford 9" rear and a Ford Tremec transmission. I do some drag racing at Englishtown & Lebanon Valley. Nothing serious, your not going to see me on sports center or anything. I just do it for fun. It's still a full car, not a choped up race car and it runs mid 12's.

Any idea why I can't post pictures or links?

Its OK if its a Camaro as long as you have fun with it. This comes from a guy with AMCs.

Bwamx and myself spend alot of time in the summer going to cruise nights. You should join us. Come to the Ct Chapter get together.
Someone suggested at the next get together we bring our toys (after it gets warmer). I think that would be a great idea.

So far all the get togethers have been just the guys but, there is no reason why you could not bring her. So far it looks like about 10 people. We always have a good time no matter how many show up.
