New gearing in ford 8.8

I have a f-150 with the 8.8 rear end in it. I have be told that being that I am running 33" tires I should changed the gear ratio. If I am correct about this a am running 3.08. I would like to have more power and slightly better mpg if there is a way to do that. Thanks

yeah you can switch to 4.10s for the best performance, but that will run you around 5 or 6 hundred bucks to get them put in. i have 3.55s in mine with 33's, they arent great but i imagine that they are better than 3.08s. so if you could find your self a used one with 3.55s that would be the cheapest.

I second the recommendation to with 4.10's. I also agree, it isn't cheap. On my F350 4x4, changing both axle's gears and putting in a locking diff in the rear set me back about $1800. The difference in power and traction was worth every penny though .
