no, i went fishing instead. it was my first long trip in this truck, so i was a little worried but she ran great. pulled me up the mountains to 9200ft. and alli had to do was lean the carb about one turn and that was it.
im so fickle. im now thinking about buying an edelbrock(they dont even have a power valve) the 1406 is the rightone for me and i could sell both my 2150's on ebay and almost break even. i dont know; im still undecided.
What CFM should I be looking at to replace my 2150? I have to run emissions every two years (november 2006 for my truck) and don't want to have to lean this sucker out just to do so (or is that possible?).
jfinlen, i have heard that the holleys are tough to adjust. am i the victim of bad information? the only carbs ive worked with are vw, and the 2150.
snipun, 500 cfm is plenty, but a lot of guys go 600, i guess it depends on the smog laws.
not completely sure, but i do believe that stock 2150's on trucks run between 200 - 280 CFM. i think someone got a 2150 off of a mustang and tweaked it up to 330 CFM ...
you don't want to get too much cfm, or you'll just be wasting gas.
