390 cam+intake
I'm changing cam+carbs and need help.I'm looking for a place to get a reproduction high performance grind hydrolic cam for my 390.I bought a motorsports cam in 1985- 484/510-282/292-204/214 and you couldn't tell there was a cam in my 390.In 1970 I bought a c8ax-6250-c 500/500-282/296 and it had a good sound.Don't know the duration at .50 on that one.Can't buy them anymore.Also I got an iron 428 CJ intake.What rpm does it operate good in?I'm going to use a 750 double pumper this time.

The older Ford cams pop up on ebay sometimes, if you want one. They generally go cheap too. If you want one to have reground, I have one out of a 65-66 427 medium riser 427 ( .500 lift--306 degrees duration) Email me at baddad457@aol.com . There's a company in Baton Rouge la. that does regrinding.
