Question daul exhaust effect on towing?

Hey ya'll I wanted to know what effect if any it would have on my 01 S-Crew if I run 2 - 2.5 inch duals with no muffler, as far as towing goes will I lose torque or power? right now it's stock with 90,000 on the 5.4l and runs great but I tow a 30 ft travel trailer quite often and don't want problems with loss of torque but I would like more Mileage (ha ha) any info would help
Thanks Mike

A properly designed dual exhaust system will build torque, not lose it.

dual 2.5 exaust without cats was great for my 4.6, it gets much better take off sadly it didnt do much if anything for my gas milage! I would run it with a muffler. I have magnaflow, it sounds great!

Yea, you're ears will thank you in the long run if you run mufflers. The noise gets old real quick.

Talking

thanks for the input I used to have a bronco w/351 and a c-6 no muffler you'reright it gets old quick so I'm going with a muffler I suppose if I come off of the cat put a flowmaster and 2.5 pipes out the back I should be ok? I'll let ya'll know. I saw one recently that exited like a 69 chevelle ss, looked very clean and nice I'm going that way too.

I think 2.25 would be your best choice, it will have much better flow characteristics exspecially with an X-pipe because of the smaller diameter piping, it would flow more efficiently.
