Yep... still have the vibration. It's seems to be worse in the moring when the tires are colder (less pressure).

I just bought an 04 FX4 Red Super Crew (200 miles) with 18s with no shimmy. I test drove 2 others before I bought this one and both had a bad vibration between 55 and 60 mph that seemed to come from the drivers rear wheel area. The salesman riding with me said he couldn't feel anything even when I took my hands off of the steering wheel and you could see it shaking like crazy! Both were FX4 with the 18 inch wheels, one supercab, one supercrew. I even looked the tires over very carefully, but couldn't see anything tire related. I ended up buying my truck at a different dealer because the salesman said that there could not be anything wrong with a brand new truck! My truck drives and feels great! I love the 5.4! I will be installing a Daystar leveling kit soon.

Yes, I do at over 65, but I had a couple of episodes when I just start driving the wheel will shake like a wheel weight is off, but then it will smooth itself out again. I have 9000 miles on truck.

My Lariat 5.4 4x4 BFG tires started at 15000 miles and continues now with 22000...going back for my 3rd time. also have rear-end whine and clunking too. tires are cupping but dealer says nothing wrong with alignment, balance or pressure. Steering wheel also shimmys when i apply brakes and come down to 35-45 mph.... think ive got a warped rotor

Cool shimmy/vibration

my 04 f150 shakes so bad I have to come to a complete stop.
The vibration seems to start from the floor. Seats start shaking moving
up the steering column, shaking violently. stoping to truck and restarting is the only way it stops . A few days can go by and everything is fine. Then it will happen again. Does anyone have any ideas?

3500 miles, lariat, 4X4 3.73 screw, no shimmy, no nothing, I feel like I have been left out. Great vehicle, note I said vehicle, cause it does not ride or drive like a truck.

OE FX4 18" wheels/BFG tires. Had the front wheel shimmmy at about 65-70 MPH. Dealer balanced the tires at 3K, shimmy disappeared. Tires rotated at 5K and 10K miles still OK. Looks like my problem was the tire balance.

FYI: also had the shudder in the rear when turning, dealer replaced the clutch paks at the same time as the balance. No more shudder or shimmy, life is good ...
