Do you mean Cummins out runs the powerstroke. Ive never seen that one before. Powerstroke is usually dominate on the race track. I havent seen a cummins take one yet. Fill me in with some more info.
The PSD already outruns the Cummins. Before you start flaming make sure you know what you're talking about. There's no such thing as a "Cummings" diesel.
12s? I'm talking about 11s. The 11.42 F350 vid going around is of a cummins powered Ford. I hear there are not enough aftermarket 6.0L parts to make 700+ hp.
I've been told that max PSD hp is around 500 hp with available mods and 800 in the Cummins with available mods. Prove me wrong.
The cummins has made around 800 without the assistance of drugs. A dmax can get close with drugs. 745 with nos ats? I dont think there is a PSD in the ballpark. Drugs or no. Maddog just got 850 or so, on the juice, before he blew a boot. He thought it was easily a 900 hp run. Maybe even close to 1000.
The dynos clip him at 1500lb ft though. I dont think they are doing any math above 1500 cause they cant measure that much torque. So its robbing his hp if Im correct. With that kind of hp I think he must be making 1600-1700 lb ft. Ive been wrong before so dont quote me.

That being said, is there anything on the horizon for the PSD?

Yes. I think the 6.0 will be much more mod friendly than the 7.3. Plus they just got the injectors figured out. Im not sure how much of that randd will translate over to these new injectors but it was a long road to discovery. My hopes lie on the 6.0 for big power. The 7.3 always had a problem getting enough fuel into the cylinder. Then you need to be able to hold a lot of boost. Boost is the secret killer. Im suprised the cummins are withstanding over 100lbs but 7 mains will help distribute that huge load. Anyone want to do the tdc pressure per square inch a 16.5 to 1 at 100lbs boost. Remember air expands when it gets hot. What temp is necessary to ignite the fuel?
didnt someone post a video somewhere around here showing an f350 doing 11.42 in the qtr mile? I downloaded the video and boy did that truck smoke like it was on steroids or something...
