As bad as those are i'm sure there are worse pictures of destruction. Kinda cool to see as long as i don't have to deal with it. Theres just some places i won't live California, kansas, the gulf, the carolinas, and now that i am going i don't like the south half of the u.s. its hot, bad weather and to many damn snakes.

Thanks for the pic of the communications tower. I've built and climbed hundreds of the things. Often wondered if they would fold over like that or just break off. Usually, those type of towers are rated for about 90mph winds and with the hoizontal bars on it (gerts), it brings it up to about 110mph rating with a fudge factor of 2x. So it should have held to about 200mph.

If on the ground there's a slight breeze of 5-7mph (tops of tall grass slightly folded), up at 500 to 800 feet I'll usually see steady 25 mph with gusts to 35 or so. You guys had one heck of a storm.

You should try to always put these into your gallery; it helps those of us on dialup (like me) to load a bit quicker.

Those pictures are not Ford truck related and can not be placed in a gallery.

Images have been changed to links.

Damage like that leads to exciting times

Most of the damage looks like what we get here in KC from Ice storms. Now imagine all of that stuff coated with an inch or two of ice... Then imagine trying to repair or clear it with that ice covering everything and in freezing temps

Images have been changed to links.
Thanks - I will do that in the future...

One question - I was driving around in a Ford Crown Vic when I took the pics so could I place them in the gallery because of that???

Just kidding! - See even cops have a sence of humor...

Even cops have a hard time getting around in an ice storm. Watch your tires for flats.

What a mess!

I wonder if the people of Flordia will be able to get the state repaired/replanted after this big one before the next one hits and tears everything down again?

I am sure glad I live in the great state of Washington where we only have to worry about floods, earthquakes, and volcanoes.

It is sad, but I am on ISDN, (115K only, real slow) the only thing offered...they say I am to far out from some "watchamaginger"...and I am in town…do not understand that…it is horribly expensive also…I am researching Comcast.

You should see what it did to planes that were tied down. Twisted the tail off some of the lighter ones, others it ripped them free and just tumbled them into a crumpled pile of aluminum. It did a lot of damage.
