Hi! I have a 93 Explorer and I just had the clutch replaced. I am still having difficulty getting the clutch into first and second gear...anyone have a clue as to what it is? I already took it back once and it still does it.
Thanks!
Hi!
Well, I am not sure exactly what was replaced but it is my understanding that "it all" was replaced. I do know that the slave cylinder was replaced. I was having the problem when the clutch was getting ready to go out if that makes a difference. It is only first and second gear that are giving me so much grief.
Any help is SO appreciated!
*Supposedly* they bled it properly because I took it back once. The problem is, it isn't hard to switch gears ALL the time. It is a 4WD. To be honest, I am not sure if I could identify a transmission noise. I seriously hope the transmission isn't going!!!! The fluid level was okay on the transmission when they checked it, though they did say the fluid looked very 'burnt'. (This, however, is probably because it hadn't been changed in an eon.)
I just don't know what is going on!
Thanks!
