How many 1965 F100 4x4 flareside long bed were made
Thanks for allowing me to be part of your group. I see there is are a lot of smart people out there who know all about Ford Trucks. I just bought a 1965 flareside 4x4 long bed about 3 weeks ago with most everything rebuilt about 4,000mile ago by a local Ford Dealer here in the Jackson, Ca area.
I just don't know much about the # of them in that body style and year that were made
can anyone help?
It also came with I a pto winch that I beleive was from the dealer, dose
anyone have any info on that too. It is a 4spd rig with the matching #352 in it
that was made in July of 1965 in San Jose, ca.
Thanks for all your help, and it is nice to ba a part of this group.

I also have a 1964 4x4 that I am restoring and I have owned a total of 8 factory 4x4 ford trucks so far (1961-66). To answer your question on the production number of 1964 4x4s my book shows that f100:styleside 2922, flareside 802 F250:styleside 2232 flareside 1028. As far as the 1965 4x4 trucks are concerned, none of my books show the total number of trucks built as a factory 4x4, just the total number of 1965 trucks built without four-wheel-drive. I hope this answers at least one of your questions anyway.

Have what is referred to as Ford red book, it is on CD so not sure if it would be considered to be 'the Red Book'. Anyhow, does not show a separate listing for the 4X4. One of the charts list number of trucks manufactured indicating for the 'flareside' there were 34,184 F100's, 7,500 F250's, and 2,085 F350's. For the 'styleside' there were 178,581 F100's, 42,044 F250's, and 1,934 F350. Needless to say there were considerably more stylesides manufactured. A 1965 flareside 4X4 is quite a find.
