aftermarket oil pressure gauge prob.

I installed a three pillar mount w/ pyro, boost and oil press. The install went well, boost and pyro are working fine but the oil pressure gauge is not. I put the sending unit in two weeks prior to the install cause that's when I changed my oil. I installed it in the 1/8 in. plug near the oil filter. When the ignition is turned on the gauge acutually moves counter-clockwise. Is this a bad sending unit? Is there any way to trouble shoot this?

Thanks Dominic

Sounds like wires on the gauge are not on the right terminals or a bad ground.

take the sending unit out and hook up an air source (within the gauge limits) and see what the gauge reads.

Im assuming you have an electrical press gauge, right?

They way you say the gauge moves backwards when you turn the ignition on - I'm assuming before you start the truck - I'd double check the wiring at the gauge first. Sounds like somethings a little backwards.
