Just got a new tach for my dual puropse yammi 225. I want to set the redline thing on it but have no idea what the redline is. Could someone please tell me what the redline is for the 225 yamaha?
Thanks

The old tach should show in red where the "redline zone" is.

Btw, what year is your bike? I work on ATV's and I think your engine is the same as a YFM 225 moto four, single overhead cam(SOHC) four stroke.it should have a built-in rev limiter. But it should be about 9,000 to 10,000 rpm.

its an 03. I dont have a tach on it currenty. I want to put this tack on cause im gonna be on te highway a lot and with a dual puropese, its turning very high RPM's at highway speed. I just dont want to redline it and damage it. mine is also 4 stroke SOHC, 2 valve.

I would set it at 9,000 to be safe.
