Exclamation 2 barrel carb for 86 F250?

I've had it with trying to do anything with this stupid feedback carb. I'm trying to find a good old fashioned 2 barrel carb to put on this in-line 6 engine without having to get a new intake. What years carb will fit on the engine (used or new)

You can use a 2bbl w/ stock intake but you'll have to get an adaptor plate in order for it to work with the stock intake. Clifford is one manufactuerer and last time I visisted they charge about $60 for one.

You can get a Carter non-feed back carb on E-Bay for about $65.00

I'm switching to a Holley 2bbl with the Clifford adapter. Does the adapter mount on top of the manifold itself or on top of the EGR housing?

I want to get rid of the emmisions junk while I'm driving it. I'll keep it to throw it on for inspections though. In Missouri, once the vehicle is initally inspected, it doesn't need to be inspected again as long as you keep it licensed.

The Clifford adaptor mounts directly to the intake manifold and replaces the old spacer. The Clifford has ports for coolant lines and a vac line. If you do decide to get one you have to measure the distance between the bolt holes on your manifold to determine which adaptor to get. The two choices are pretty far apart so it's hard to screw up. I just bought one from Clifford for my mustang, it sems like a good piece and comes with all the gaskets and hardware you need. Took 3 days to arrive.
