Loud squeal while turning

Loud squeal while turning
I have a 1988 Ford Clubwagon with a 351. When I turn to the right it makes a high pitch squealing noise, it kinda sounds like I'm peeling out. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Is it expensive to repair / replace?

first, make sure that the belt is in good condition... if it has any cracks on the grooved side, or real shiny black on the smooth side, replace it.
it could be the idle pulley tensioner. It could be worn out, and want hold tight, letting the belt slip.
Or, the fluid in the pump is wrong....(ie, too thick)... Empty the pump and Add Power Steering fluid. NOT automatice trans fluid.
