302 oil pressure problem

i have a 72 ford f100 302 that had some oil leaks. it's oil pressure also dropped to around 10 when it warmed. so i pulled it and put in new main and rod bearings, new rear main seal, and a new oil pump. then i reinstalled the engine and started it. the oil guage still just read about half of what it should, it's around 25 psi with part throttle cold and about 10 ildling cold, so i put on a new electric guage and it said the same thing. the only thing i can think of is that the parts store gave me the wrong size bearings.

Please post any ideas you have that could be the problem

Thank you

Remove the pressure sender and install a mechanical gauge. The sender could be clogged.

if the gauge readings are correct, your crank is probably worn to the point that standard size bearings won't restore your oil clearances. you can either get the crank reground and install undersize bearings or determine the exact size bearing you need to restore proper oil clearances and order a selective fit bearing set.
