lowering a 64?

I have a 64 F100 sb and I've been wondering how to lower it. I read someone else had asked about a 64 and was told to go to www.truckn-store.com, so I went there and they have lowering kits for 65-81 fords. I was wondering if the 64 was the same as 65? Or what is another way to lower it?
Thanks,

If it really is a '64, it'll have a straight solid axle, instead of the twin I-Beam of '65 and up. The later kit won't fit. Check the '48-'60 forum; they've got a lot more stuff on it, and the same principles apply. Do a search on lowering. Also, they've got a sticky on various options for replacing your front end with a later IFS, which will do a lot more for your truck than simply lowering (Better ride, handling, power steering, power disc brakes, later model motor mounts, etc.) Many like to keep the original hardware, tho'.

psyko64,
You can go a couple of differant ways. Springs, flipped axles, etc. Got pics in my gallery of how I did it.
Good luck

On my 63 I used monoleaf 3" dropped springs in front. Easy driveway job, wrwere pretty nice, but mor "springy" than the stockers, and the truck would get bouncy over rough stuff. Better shocks would be needed.
