Dumb *** question, but:
How can I tell (without having to take it to the dealer) if my truck has been reprogrammed in the past.
I finally finished my X monitor gauge & I'm ready to plug in my Diablosport Predator programmer.
The manual states:
"Serious engine damage can occur if the Predator tune is installed over a NON-FACTORY / AFTERMARKET PERFORMANCE TUNE".
I bought the truck used & have no idea what the previous owner may have done.
I have an engine diagnosis tool (OBD code reader) & it was able to read engine codes & give me correct readouts, but not sure if that helps.

No ROM or PCM error codes is a good indication that its not tuned. Also, inspect the PCM and see if there is a chip module sticking out of the back end.

No chip module hanging out of PCM, no error codes, & the truck does not smoke @ WOT.
I figured I was safe, but with my luck...
Just thought I would check to be sure.
