i have 1962 ford pickup with 302,4 barrell holley, motor runs good, but it wont even break the tires loose,it has 3 speed auto.,i think it has 2 something high gears, and 235 tires on front and 275 on the back I am willing to spend 1500 to have some fun
i have been building motor for a long time now i have NEVER HEARD OF TURNING THE PISTON'A AROUND..your piston is the same all the way around..... 8.5 ,9.5 10.5 ....so what does turning the piston around do?
The piston pin bore on a 302 is offset, intake to exhaust sides. Spinning the piston 180 degrees (so the notch faces the rear) will give it a different stroke geometry, and is good for 15-30 hp's.
