Sorry if this has been asked a million times but i want to put a EFI 460 in my f150 4x4 but am not sure what transmission bolts on and what transfer case to use. Also i know that having a donor vehicle is best, but don't know how to find one. If i go with new engine, tranny, and xfer case, where can i get a new wiring harness and computer.

You'll want a C6 (auto) and NP205 (2 speed, 2/4 WD) transfer case...

The C6 bolts right into your existing tranny mount.

You will need a computer from the 460, preferably the one that came with it, or if you get desperate, the EEC IV from ford racing, both pieces together run $400.

 

Thanks for your quick response. I off road about 60 miles from anything so reliability is crucial, so i would rather pay a bit more for new although a complete donor vehicle does make it easier to do the swap.
