Anybody with general tires have frontend vibration or wheel shimmy?

I have Generals and have I been battling wheel shimmy at 55mph and above. Rebalanced has helped but it has not been eliminated.

nope, haven't had the shimmy/nibble..... have noticed that they are cupping though. Anyone think I should bring this up to the dealer since they only have 11000 miles on them?

I have the Generals on my truck also. I have not had any problems out of the tires yet. I have just over 6000 miles so far.

I have the Generals w 6,000 miles and also have a vibration problem. I took it into the dealer last week and they balanced and rotated them. I havent had a chance to try them on the highway yet but will report back when I do.

I have Genearal on mine, not happy, cupping, and when the truck sits a while, these tires get square, I think I'm back in the 50's again with bias rayon tires, drive it about 3-4 miles they get round again??? I mean they get so flat spotted it shakes the steering wheel.....I Also have wheel shimmy, truck has been aligned and tires balanced twice , no help ..Have 8,000 miles on truck..Going back (again) to dealer a scream.. Theses tires just ruin a great handling & riding truck..

I have General Ameritracs on my 03 F150,and had a lot of steering vibration above 60 when the truck was fairly new.I took it to the dealer and they agreed about the vibration. They sent it to the General tire dealer, and they discovered two tires were out of round. These were replaced at no charge to me.Truck handles fine now,no more shimmy.

I have Contintals on mine. Driving home from the dealer on the freeway with 30 miles on it the steering wheel started to shimmy pretty bad. I took my hand off the wheel to watch and the wheel was bouncing back and forth about an inch. It only happens between 62-70mph. I have an appointment to take her in.

2500 miles on my Generals, and I do get the "flat-spot" feeling when they're cold, but it goes away after 1-2 miles. I can live with that; otherwise no problems. I haven't commented on many of these vibration issues because I have so few miles on the truck. I'd like to get at least 10,000 on it before I feel I can intelligently comment on it.

I have a slight 40-60 mph vibration and a 70 mph steering wheel shimmy that is getting worse. Dealer said two tires roadforce balance to about 40 and will be replaced. Waiting 2 weeks now for the apparently rare General tires to come in. The shimmy is strange in that it doesn't do it all the time. A bump or gust of wind might set it off. And, it feels like the whole suspension is loose over bumps, like excessive bump steer.
