Looking for lift and shop
I'm looking for a 6" lift for my 89 F150. What should I go with? Is the skyjacker $500something dollar kit a decent setup? What about the BDS? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Will any body put together a lift/wheel/tire package? Where should I look and who should i have put it on?

Personally, I don't like Skyjacker lifts, there drop brackets are garbage if you ask me, I have seen too many break. I have no opinion on BDS. I have also had Rancho, and Pro Comp in the past and I now currently have Superlift. Out of all the lifts that I have owned I personally think Superlift is the best. Lifts on half ton Ford trucks are fairly easy I think, nothing to difficult with the right tools.
My .02 cents..

I had a SkyJacker 6" lift on my 95 F150 X-Cab. SkyJacker sells nothing but quality. All the "Brand" name companies are probably. But I prefer SkyJacker because they are weighted towards Ford Products. I had drop downs & rear blocks on mine with NO Problems!! Clears 33"x12x15 Swampers with minor bumper shimming. You can opt for the more expensive extended radius arm package that is up to you. SkyJacker will include the new pitman arm, some companies make that an extra fee. I don't recommend drop downs/blocks for anything over 6", also 33" tires are the absolute max unless you plan to re-gear. Installation will probably cost around $700 depending on who does it. Go with a facility that has PROOF of doing these trucks! Also, alignments can be a PITA, get referneces for that also.
