no power steerring
hello from england, i have a 1997 4.0 v6 explorer,(right hand drive) aand my power steering is notchy, heavy sometimes none existent and some times all 3,ive just ha d a recon power rack fitted and a power pump rebuild , if any thing its worse than be for it failed!!! one thing though, the guy that fitted the rack, at the end of the job handed me what looks like a one way valve, about 1/2 inch by 1/2 dome shaped with ridge at one end and said to me "this fell out from some where mate but we dont know where" could this be my problem if so do any of you guys know where this little valve goes and what way round it goes, as you can imagine not many mechanics have seen an explorer over here, let alone worked on one!!!!thanks in anticipation,
