I dont want to lift my "soon to be" supercrew" XTL 4x4..

I ll get basic standrad tires like 255/60 or 70/ 17" rims.

Now i m curious how big (max size) can tires fit my future truck?

That will not hit fenders or so when driving on beach or trails?

I like BFG ATKO or Goodyear MT/R 275/60 or 70/17

if you lik4 BFG's get the 285 17's!!! I did exacly what you did, ordered the small tires on 17's and traded them in at the local tire shop ($75 credit each) toward the 285 BFG's on the way home.

these fit on my stock FX4 with no rubbing and look great

 

Tire shops will actually give a credit on used tires? I have 10k on mine now.

 

this is the third new truck i have swaped tires for BFG's. you need to negotiate ahead of time with a tire store and tell them exactly what is coming on the truck. my tires had 42 miles on them ( distance from dealer to tire store) 10k will be a different story, but there may be some value in those tires???? who knows.
