I'm gonna miss her

Put my truck in the local Truck Trader this week. After many sleepless nights I realized it was the right thing to do for 2 reasons. Reason one, I don't really have a need for her any more. I have sold all my toys so other then the occasional run to the dump, all I do is run her up and down the highway about 2500 miles a month. I could talk myself into keeping her if that was the only reason, I own a lot of things I don't really need, but. Reason two, I am getting engaged soon! YIKES!!!! Seriously, I am very happy. I just can't justify the monthy payment and high insurance cost when I could use my money for other things. I know, I know I see it coming already, you guys will probably tell me I am crazy or even worse whipped. I just don't see it that way. Okay maybe I am a little crazy. Anyway for those that don't know shes a 99 F250 XLT 4X4 PSD 6-speed, just turned 100,000, new clutch, starter, batteries, Rotela-t every 5-6000 miles, fuel filter every other. Do you guys think $17,500 is a fair price for my truck?

Not to try and talk you out of it, but..... my wife and I really enjoy camping in our RV. If you are getting married soon, give yourself a nice honeymoon in Banff or something.

Keep the truck! Get married on a cruise

Yep! We got married on a cruise to Alaska. Don't blow your wad on a big wedding. We got married on a cruise and other than the ticket for the cruise it only cost like $2500 for pictures, cake, champagne, flowers, etc. It was easy! That way we were able to afford to keep my truck! Besides she likes the room when we travel.

Not knowing where you live, I can't say whether the price is fair, but I can tell you what I paid. Bought the truck last month, a '99 F350 4x4, PSD, 125,000 mi., automatic, standard cab, in generally very good shape (until some moron hit me in a parking lot on the 6th day I had it, but we won't go there.... ). I bought it from a Ford dealer for just over $13,500, which seemed low to me. The dealer was in Tarpon Springs, FL. Hope this helps.
