Question 08 Escape front end noise

My son has a 2008 Escape he bought earlier this year. It has developed a grating noise in the front end when going around left hand curves at a moderate speed(40-50 mph). Doesn't do it when turning right or when going slower/faster than that.
He had the steering column replaced under the recall about a month after he got the truck-after losing power steering twice on the way home from work.
No sign of anything rubbing underneath.
Anyone have a similar experience or ideas on what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Scott

My first guess would be a cv joint. Try doing tight circles to see if it makes a similar noise.

Also, verify that all 4 tires are the same size / condition / air pressure.
