I am thinking about bypassing my AC compessor in my 78-does not have AC
Getting a 1" taller Wix air filter
And a 18" Nylon flex fan
and timing +2*
What will that do for me in terms of
power?
+5-10hp MAYBE!!!!
10-15ftlbs MAYBE

If you still have the stock cam and ignition system I would keep your timing set to stock spec. If you already have an air filter open 360* just adding an inch in height isn't going do to anything, especially if it's a stock carburetor it should be getting more than engough air from just a regular paper element type filter open 360*. Bypassing the a/c compressor and using a flex fan will lose some friction, thus gaining a few hp.
Your engine will probably run a little cooler too.
