Your tailgate is half unlatched

How is your hitch set up? Mine is so much more visible than that and I really don't like it. Is that a custom fab job?

 

Looks like a plain jane after market kit, came with the truck....

 

Could it be that he has a bumper on the truck that helps "hide" it?
Mine sticks out far also but I don't have the bed on it or the rear bumper so cant say if it does stick out or not.

Of that generation, I always like the 78-79 variants with the rectangular headlights... but I still really like the paint color of yours, you don't see much of that color anywhere these days.
