Clicking noise at cold start?

When I first start my '04 Screw in the mornings, I hear a clicking noise that is relative to the throttle. The more I give it throttle, the louder and faster the clicking noise. After it warms up, this stops. The dealer is going to put on a new belt and one pulley that they say is slightly "grindy" when they manually turn it. Any thoughts?

i had a 03 ranger with a 4.0 that i traded in on my 04 f150 5.4 that did about the same thing. unfortunatly, my dealer was unable to fix it on my ranger. they replaced the engine fan, pulleys, tensioner and belt and still didnt take care of the noise. only when it was cold out is when my ranger ever made the sound and would go away after the engine warmed up. hope they can take care of that noise for ya.
