I have heard talks about ford offering a Super Crew with a 6.5' bed. A dealer on another f150 forum also said he had a couple on order.......

Is this true? Has anyone else heard this or can confirm this? When will it be avaliable? 05?

 

I don't think that will be available on the 05 F-150 (I might be wrong) although it has been widely wished for. Don't take my word for it but that seems like a shady claim, maybe those are not F-150's he is talking about.

 

Someone tell me, how long is the Heavy Duty F150 with the extended cab and long box? Wouldn't that be the right frame length for a Super Crew with 6.5' bed? I don't really need HD, but it seems to me Ford already would have the platform to do it. I'd take a HD F150 SCrew with a 5.4.

 

The rumors were flying fast and furious about this, but there's nothing planned that I know of at this point. A SuperCrew with a 6.5' box would require a 151" wheelbase (139" + 12"); a Regular Cab with the 8' box is 145", the Supercab with 8' box is 163". So, there is no existing frame that they could build it off of.
