Question 1951 Ford f2 3/4 ton-rims/wheels

I have been looking around and did not realize how dificult it was to find wheels for the 8 lugs rear wheel drive pickup. American racing has 3 rims, which I think are steel. Tire rack does not have them. I tried the auto store up the street and not luck.

Where could I find companies on the internet or southern CA.

I have had some luck finding some on ebay. You definitely have fewer options. I have five of the original two-piece wheels available, if that is your interest. I took them off because none of the tire shops in my area will work on them due to safety concerns.

I switched to 16" steel wheels from a 80's era F-250. I like the look and they were cheap ($25 each).

I believe that wheels from an F-250 or F-350 will work, any of the years up to about '98, after which they went metric. The wheels must be 8 lug on a 6-1/2" bolt circle. The hub hole is 4-3/4" diameter minimum, and the backspace (wheel mounting plane to inner edge of wheel) is 4-1/8". Also check that they will clear your brake drums.

Try a salvage yard allot of the time you can find tires and wheels in good shape off a new truck that has been wrecked. Saves the price of mounting and balancing which can get expensive
