Oil gauge takes a few seconds to move

I've noticed that when i start my truck up (wait till the wait light goes off) and it takes like 2 or 3 seconds until the oil pressure gauge comes up to the normal mark or even moves. I was in my friends truck yesterday same year and everything and his shoots right up when he starts his truck. Is it the gauge or is the oil just not moving for a couple seconds in my truck?

Mine waits a few seconds to come up as well, but, then again, I have a huge oil leak that I'm waiting on parts for... So I'll have to see if it cures itself when I get it fixed...

Also, remember, the oil gauge on these vehicles is really just an idiot light with a needle. As long as you're getting pressure, I wouldn't worry about it unless you hook up a real oil pressure gauge and are seeing something bad on the real one.
