The October Shaker Thread

Hi all

Seems to be a tad quiet in the Alberta chapter as of late so I thought maybe a new thread might help in getting some action going. So feel free to jump in and post away!

As for myself I have been hunting for either an F250 or F350 crew cab super duty to pull a not long ago acquired Fifth wheel I bought from a friend moving overseas. I did have a deal ( or at least you would think so when you signed a contract ) but needless to say the dealer kept stalling on providing the truck!

After several delays (weeks really) I ended up having to make some very specific demands to either provide the truck as per the contract by a final date or I would go to the regulatory agencies and file complaints and start legal action.

Needless to say I think it was my mentioning to them that I would take this issue to the media that finally prompted them to give me my deposit back and tear up the contract.

So the hunt still goes on, but I am encouraged about what I see out there ( I am really curious about the 2014's though.)

And man she is getting a little chilly lately, makes me think the snow may be coming earlier then I would like to see.... ok enough babbling from me, over to your folks

Welcome to winter. Snow and ice all over my beautiful truck now. Oh well, I'm parking indoors at work these days, so she'll be dry before quitting time.

No snow here yet although I can see it in the hills. I sure don't miss the Alberta winters.

We have a snowfall warning in effect for Saturday morning of up to 30cm...I am so not ready for this, with all the rain we had this seemed like one short summer.

Had a little ice on my front steps. I don't like using salt, and I sure didn't feel like chipping it off. So, in a flash of brilliance, I decided to use the tiger torch. That was relaxing, and quite effective. I think my neighbors are concerned about my sanity. I may decide to de-ice the road in front of my house next . . .

Happy Friday Alberta from way down south in North Carolina.

Always wanted to visit Calgary. Seems like a pretty cool place. Would love to check out the stampede and also head up to Banff National park. Yall also have a nice concrete skate park and great music scene. Hope one day to get up there.

Yall have a great weekend, eh.
