Ive been checking around for aftermarket exhaust for my SOHC 99 Explorer Sport. I know Gibson makes a system and I called Flowmaster. It was an interesting call when they indicated that the model years skipped from 98 to 2000 with nothing listed for the 99 year. Any idea why? He also suggested NOT messing with the exhaust because the exhaust note would be unbearable. Any thoughts on that?

 

Cut the 4 cats off, put a 2-in-2-out hi flow cat and a Flowmaster 40 or 50 series 2-in-1-out muffler... You will like the extra feel and like the tone you get. Not too loud, but enough to turn heads...
