Difference between a F150 and F250/350???

Ok, so I have a 79 F150 4x4 with a Dana 44 front, what I want to know is if a Dana 60 would fit in its position? Is the housing on the other side than the D44? If it isn't, will I need to change any of my steering components or what??? Specifically a 77-79 F250/350.

the spring mounts are different as the F250 uses leaf springs, the F150 uses coil, but the pumpking is in the same positon
