Idle air control!!!
Ok now we know that the truck starts, but here are the new problems:
where is the IAC?? also, I see 2 kinda of electric items hooked up to the vac lines one is from the canister to the carb w/ a bi metal plastic thing, the other one coming from the PCV valve joining to the first hose on a tee to canister???
when I start on cold the engine run good i give gas and it's fine till it gets hot and when I give gas it tries to stall. When it tries to stall I give enough gas to raise rpms and play w/ the idle mixture but I don't get ups or downs.
I always need to hold the choke open to start the engine if not it won't start.
When I driving on a small street I can do 35 mph w/o pushing the pedal, then it'll go to normal then I need to push the pedal.
Everytime that I start the truck cold or hot it'll make a whistleing noise (annoying) then it'll stop.
It'll be times that when I take off I need to hit the clutch so I can gain power, because if I push the gas its like its gonna stall.
Sometimes i dont take hills cause it wont go if i dont help it w/ the clutch and on 2nd gear, when usually it'll take 3 rd gear only.
Sometimes when I'm turning into my neighborhood the idle is slow as soon I turn to my driveway it'll go up like 1500rpms and stays like that.
My truck is using way too much gas in 2 days I put 30 dollars.
Theres no emissions here, should I just cancel all the vac lines???? and the EGR valve also???
Reminder: my is a 86 F-150 I6 300 4 speeds 119,500 miles
1º There is an air leak, try to find when the whistleing noise is pressent.
2º Your truck still going over fuelled, that's the reason it can run with an air leak and also High Idle.
