A few questions
I looking to buy a supercharger for a 4.2L F-150, but becase the price of kits are so high and and have only found 2; Im just going to buy a SC and make all of the mounting brackets and piping. I am looking at a SC made for the 3.8L mustang, 4.0L, or a 4.6L F-150. Which of these three would be the best choice? I believe that if I would use the 4.6L that the SC would be too large and never fully spine up, but if i used one of the smaller ones it would spine up and then top out to quickly.

They may all use the same blower housing but it is the pulley size that spins them faster or slower for the individual motor. That is how you can correct the problem you are worried about, just change the pulley.

But remember, overspinning the SC will reduce longevity, not to mention lower the adibiatic (the amount of heat intoduced per unit of air volume) efficiency. I don't want to discourage you from experimentation, but rather desire you have a positive outcome.
